The golden berry, known as Uchuva in Colombia, is native to the Andean region. It is round, yellow, sweet and small and usually has a diameter between 1.25 and 2 cm. it comes wrapped in a protective shell called capacho or Capuchon.

 

 It is an excellent source of vitamin A, C, B1, B2, B3 ,Magnisium phosphate and pectin. Its proportions of B complex help act as an anti-inflammatory. Its vitamin E helps keep skin and hair healthy. Avocado, originally from Mexico, is one of the most desired fruits worldwide. Green, pear-shaped and with a smooth creamy texture. 


The avocado provides vitamins E,  acid and glutathione, as well as fatty acids like omega 9,7,6 and 3. This last part helps protect from cancer. Its list of minerals it include: calcium, copper, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, manganese, potassium, selenium, sodium and zinc.

Pitahaya or yellow dragon fruit, native from Central America, is a fruit shaped ovoid with some bumps , yellow at maturity, with edible small black seeds covered with a sweet transparent pulp.


The Dragon fruit is a moisturizing fruit and with high nutritional value. It contains vitamin A, antioxidants such as betalains, phenols, Gallic acid and betacyanins, which prevent damage to the skin. The amounts of B vitamins it contains help reduce cholesterol levels.

The Tamarillo,  is a brilliant fruit of intense red color that has a very characteristic sweet and sour taste. The skin is not edible, but its pulp is delicious in juices, salads, sauces and chutneys.
